Closing wheel arm exchange

from Solid Rock

One key component to keeping a consistent furrow is ensuring that the closing wheels are staying perfectly centered over the seed trench.

A challenge that we continue to see is how quickly the bushings on the John Deere closing arms wear and cause slop in the arms.

This causes the arms to shake back and forth while they are running through the field. You can always replace the bushings and get them to be tighter again to a certain degree, but then over time, the bushing starts wearing into the arm causing the arm to need replaced as well. These closing wheel rebuild kits solves this problem by replacing the bushing with a collar and bearing design. It completely eliminates any slop in the arm and creates a cost effective simple swap out wear part for the future.

We are excited to now be offering a complete exchange program for these closing wheel arms. We rebuild these arms with weld-on collars and bearings, have them powder coated, and reassemble them with new hardware. We also included new Solid Rock Ag custom designed high wear springs with them. Just drop off your old arms and we will set you up with the rebuilt arms.

And if you would like to do it yourself, we also offer a rebuild kit so that you can weld the collar on and do it yourself as well.
